Snaplexes are the data processing engines that execute AutoSync data pipelines. AutoSync supports connecting to on-premises endpoints with an AutoSync Snaplex or with a Groundplex (self-managed Snaplex).

To connect to an on-premises endpoint:

• For an AutoSync Snaplex, you must open connectivity to the endpoint by adding SnapLogic IP addresses to the endpoint allowlist. Refer to the endpoint vendor's documentation for procedures.
• A Groundplex must be associated with the global shared folder in Classic Manager and have connectivity to the endpoints.

To use a Groundplex:

• If you don't administer the SnapLogic environment, ask your Org admin for the name of the self-managed Snaplex to use for on-premises data sources.
• If you administer a SnapLogic environment, and don't have a self-managed Snaplex, contact your CSM and refer to Deploying a Self-Managed Snaplex.
